Starting with MY 99.5, the A4 included factory-installed mounting holes for adding LATCH anchors to the rear seat. The threaded holes are located behind the seat bottom cushion, two on the driver side and two on the passenger side. Some early 99 vehicles may also include the mounting holes, check behind the rear seat to be sure.

These part numbers are for the lower anchors which are needed to install a rear-facing seat. Front-facing seats should also be secured using tethers on the rear deck; check with your OEM parts supplier for the part numbers since some are dependent on the interior color.
Beginning in MY02, the A4 came with factory installed LATCH hooks. Very early 02's did not get the hooks, however Audi agreed that their service centers will install the hooks at no charge because the owners manual and other materials indicated that the car was equipped with LATCH.
