TT.Mk1 Opening Up the Steering Column

Back to 2000-2005 (Mk1)

Removing the cover to the steering column is very easy. There are two tiny screws on the underside of the steering column cover:

You need a screwdriver with a small tipped end on it to engage the Phillips-head screws:

With the screws out, you can lift the top cover (it works easier if you have lowered the steering wheel adjustment all the way down):

Continue lifting up:

And finally it comes completely off:
